Video Marketing – Uploading Your Production

Drum Roll Please … It’s time to let everyone see your masterpiece!

This is the third installment in my series on Video Marketing. In previous articles we looked at the different resources which are available to you to help make your videos great. We looked at the different software for Desktop Sharing which included the industry leader Camtasia Studio. We looked at devices for personal video like the Kodak Touch and the iphone. We also took a look at how to make great video content with my top 10 list for making quality videos. These tips included recording your videos in a quite location, the suggested length of your videos, and pausing for around 5 seconds when you make a mistake in your presentation for easy editing afterwards. Most importantly we discussed that your Video’s must have a Call To Action.

You can revisit either of these two absolutely fantastic articles here!

Now, for the moment that you’ve been waiting for … Uploading your videos!

Over 80 percent on online marketers upload their Videos to YouTube and YouTube only. This is fine but there are other options which are available to you and they present big advantages over the traditional YouTube platform. We will go over how to upload your video production from Camtasia to YouTube, however we’re going to spend a bit more time (because there is more involved) on how to upload your production to an alternative hosting site … Amazon S3!

The top three Advantages of Hosting your site with Amazon

1. Very inexpensive to host your images and videos (I’m talking Real Cheap, Lol!)
2. Your Website WILL load faster (increased performance) because it is not bogged down with large video files taking up precious bandwidth.
3. You have Complete Control over Video Content and no Outsider Logos branding your production.

There is a bit more to uploading your videos to Amazon however so there is a bit of a learning curve … but that’s why we’re here isn’t it! After all we should never finish the day with the same amount of knowledge that we had when we started it! So, Let’s get started with today’s learning!

Rather then reinventing the wheel I’m going to direct you to the same person who taught me about Amazon S3 in this Video Webinar below. You’ve heard me mention Chris Farrell before and he is without doubt my number 1 mentor for online marketing. This guy gives new meaning to the words “Giving Great Value.” The Webinar below is completely free and goes over uploading your videos to YouTube, Facebook, and Amazon S3 in great detail.

You will need to download the Webinar onto your computer before watching.

    Hi Kevin,
Unfortuvately I ‘m one of those many people who upload videos on YouTube only. But now I’ll try Amazon S3 to see if it’s good. Because video is the best way to present information there’s no way I will stop using it)

  8. Hi Kevin,
I see on your blog that you provide lots of information on producing videos. I have had some training; however, I have not implemented it since I have lot my virtual assistant.

Video is a wonderful way to communicate with our clients and prospects because it provides them with a sensory experience. If all we use is one method of communication – text in the written word either online or offline, we are not going to be memorable. While text is crucial to our business success, it is a good idea to go beyond single-sense marketing in order to create a fuller more vibrant experience for our clients, customers, and prospects. Video is the easiest way for any business owner to engage both the eye and the ear, even if we are selling intangibles like information products, classes, or services. When we engage both sight and sound, we can begin to create an experience and evoke emotion.
